Bakuretsu Con announces guests of honor

Colchester, Vermont - Bakuretsu Con would like to announce that voice actress Cynthia Martinez and artist Steve Bennett will be attending Bakuretsu Con 2006 as our guests of honor. The annual convention will be held November 3-5, 2006.

Cynthia Martinez was first introduced to anime when ADV cast her in her first acting/voice acting role ever as the dragon slayer sorceress Lina Inverse in Slayers. Since then she has voiced a variety of roles such as Sora in Kaleido Star, Hermes in Kino's Journey, Poemy in Puni Puni Poemy, Excel Kobayashi in Excel Saga, Hiroko in RahXephon, Mikako in Voices of a Distant Star, Yuna in Galaxy Fraulein Yuna, Hikaru in Princess Nine, Hikaru Amano in Nadesico, Harue in Super Gals, Mint in BASTof Syndrome, Meek in Panyo Panyo Di Gi Charat, Pike in Princess Tutu, Kaho in Sister Princess, Laetitita in Madlax, Brigitta in Gravion, Runa in Nurse Witch Kumugi, Mayu in Elfen Lied, Akina in UFO Valkyrie and most recently was cast as Hikari in This Ugly Yet Beautiful World.

Steven R. Bennett IV is the co-founder of I.C. Entertainment. In the early 1980's, Steve worked at Studio Pierrot in Tokyo as an apprentice animator to Noboru Furusei (New Dominion Tank Police, Lupin III) on projects such as Cat's Eye and Urusei Yatsura. In 1997, Steve co-founded Studio Ironcat L.L.C. with the help of Japanese manga artist Masaomi Kanzaki. In 2002, Studio Ironcat was reborn as I.C. Entertainment, and the company has taken a new focus on domestic manga, which resulted in the 2003 publication of their AmeriManga and Megatokyo titles. Steve is also currently working as a character designer and artist for Scrollquest.com and Angel Of St Thomas as well.
